-hippie-

I love fashion. Pinterest, bloggers, magazine articles, etc. However, I have a hard time being able to match outfits and be *cute. For true and amazing blogger fashion, check out: gracedwithstyle.blogspot.com -I'm a tad biased as I know the author personally. :) love you girl!

During the summer, we can wear business casual to work (some days some are too casual), so I wear a lot of jeans and wedges.

And I love skinny jeans and wedges. This little ensemble is brought to you by boutiques, Rue 21 and JCP. Oh, and a selfie stick. ($8 at Target)

I curl my hair in sections with a 2-inch curling iron from Walmart. It was $28. I also use extreme hold Aussie hairspray to hold it all during this humidity.

I say the shirt is from a boutique because it was a gift from a friend and I cannot tell you the exact boutique. The belt came with it. I love shirts that can accentuate my waist without drawing attention to my tummy. (problem area!!) This would be cute with a chunky, short necklace, but I'm currently on a dangling earring kick. I can't do chunky with dangly. I have spurts where I go from big earrings and not necklace to chunky necklace and stud earrings.

The silver hoop earrings are from JCP. They are beginning to tarnish so I need some good silver cleaning cloths. Suggestions on that?

The skinny jeans are from Rue 21. Skinny jeans are the only kind I ever wear anymore. Now, have you ever tried to figure out your size at Rue 21? I wear a 29. This is the inches. I won't tell you what size a 29 is equivalent to (back to problem area), but a Google will answer the question for you.

The wedges are from JCP. They're brown wedges with black straps around my ankles. They are super comfortable for the summer time. This coming from a girl who lived in flats the first 22 years of her life. I own several pairs of wedges, but these are my go-to.

On my wrist, you will see my FitBit. I use the FitBit Alta and purchased it from Amazon. It cost a pretty penny, but I'm working on that problem area as mentioned earlier.

I won't be a constant blogger of my outfits. I hope to write on a variety of topics in the life of 23-year-old living in the outskirts of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

-Much love to all. <3

*cute being the general word people use these days.

Christmas Time - Pandora Style.

Is it ever too early to start listening to Christmas music?

For some people? Maybe. For me? Never.

25 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

I currently have Country Christmas Radio on my Pandora. Thank you, Blake Shelton, for your version of "Let it Snow!"

Carrie Underwood is my favorite to sing Christmas music. Her voice is perfection in "Do You Hear What I Hear."

Lady Antebellum's version of "Holly Jolly, Christmas" is not holly nor jolly. Please go back to singing nasally songs about American Honey.

Kenny Chesney is a fail in every way. Can the man truly sing? Sixteen albums and fourteen of them are gold or higher. Why not those other two albums, brah. Yes, I know he can sing. It's just not the kind of music I like. Thumbs down to that one.

NEXT.

Ah, Blake Shelton and "White Christmas." After all the drama he's been involved in lately, I hate him for what he did to Miranda. Also, I'd be scared. Has he never heard "Kerosene?" Loved that song, by the way.

"Forget your high society, I'm soakin' it in Kerosene
Light 'em up and watch them burn, teach them what they need to learn HA!
Dirty hands aint made for shakin', aint a rule that aint worth breakin'
Well I'm giving up on love cause love's given up on me."
Kerosene by Miranda Lambert

I digress.

The Eagles are on my Pandora singing "Please Come Home for Christmas."
1. Aren't you a rock group? Why are you on my Pandora?
2. Lionel Richie? Is that you?
THUMBS DOWN.

GEORGE STRAIT! There's a man. "Jingle Bell Rock" is always a great song.
"Jingle around the clock, mix and mingle in the jinglin' beat. That's the jingle bell rock."

Brad Paisley may not be the most handsome of country singers, but THAT VOICE. Sing it to me, Brad. "Silent night, holy night..."

Alabama "The Little Drummer Boy" is one of my all-time favorites. Of course, I love Alabama. "Pa-rum pum pum pum." THUMBS UP.

Randy Travis' version of "Joy To The World" is not something I can handle. Love the song. Can't stand him. Thumbs down.

Oh, Faith Hill. My idol of musicians and women. She's GORGEOUS and her voice is stellar. "A Baby Changes Everything" is such a sweet, true song.

Carrie Underwood again with "The First Noel." Her voice. Amazing. I could listen to her music all day just because of her voice. I love "Two Black Cadillac's." It's a weird message, but her voice reaches so many notes that give me goose bumps.

Garth Brooks. I'm a fan, but your version of "Let It Snow" pales in comparison to Blake Shelton's version. Thumbs down for you.

Faith Hill again with "O Holy Night." She's incredible with any song she ever sings.

"Home" the Holiday version by Blake Shelton is sweet. The original version of "Home" is probably my favorite though.

 Blake Shelton's original version "Home"

And I feel just like I'm living someone else's life
It's like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
This was not your dream
But you always believed in me
Blake Shelton feat. Michael Buble "Home" Holiday version
Another Christmas day will come and go away
And I wont leave you alone
No I'm gonna go home
I'm gonna be home
Though I'm surrounded by
This cold December night
I feel so alone
I'm gonna go home
Babe, I miss you, you know
Both songs are great. Michael Buble is another amazing musician with an incredibly smooth voice.

Kenny Chesney and your "Silent Night" need to go away.

"Sleigh Ride" is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Who is Lorrie Morgan? Google says she is an American country artist. She has had 25 single on the Billboard and three number ones. I don't know that I've ever heard her other songs. Let's quickly take a break and check out one of these number one songs..

"What Part of No" was a number one song that was first released in 1992. It's pretty good. She has a great voice and she's the real type of country artist. None of that pop music sound with her.

Toby Keith has a big head. Anyone agree? Here's his version of "Little Drummer Boy." Alabama has you beat on this one, Ole Tob.

NEXT.

YES! Alabama again singing "Tennessee Christmas." Irony there?

A tender Tennessee Christmas
is the only Christmas for me.

Such a perfect song to end on. I hope you all enjoyed my little Pandora Christmas music review. I listened to the Country Christmas Radio station.

-all my love.

Along The Way

Where are we going?

Good question, but is it a good title? I think so. Along the way to wherever life leads us. Right now, I have no idea where I am actually going, but I'll tell you about where I am at in life.

Since this is my first post on my "new and improved" blog, you all need an update about me.

I'm a typical, married, 23-year-old with a full-time job and a part-time grad student.

Typical? Maybe not. What even is typical now-a-days?

Full-time job: life counselor. (Not technically, but it's what I call myself.)

Part-time grad student: APSU, I'm coming for you! I start my M.A. in Communication in January 2016. My undergrad work is in Communication and Public Relations from Tennessee Tech University.

I loved Tech. Enough that I'll dedicate a whole post to it one day. I'm sure everyone would love to know about the life there. No sarcasm there. I absolutely LOVED Tech. Five semesters wasn't enough.

I want to be a writer. I want people to know my name as a Pulitzer Prize winner. Big dreams? Yes.

I like romance, mystery, and the kind of writing that gives you goose bumps because you are amazed at how the author just described the love between these two people or all you can do is lay the book down because you are speechless the author would do this to your favorite character. I love to be enthralled by a story. I love to become the character. I feel happy when she is happy and heart-broken when that boy is being ridiculous. I fight for her to be with the man of her dreams and cry when her Momma is sick again.

I love to read. I appreciate writing no matter how crazy it is. How I Met Your Mother is a great example of crazy, off the freakin wall writing that makes you so angry you can't believe you just spent that much of your life watching the show. But wow. That writing was stellar. Unbelievable. Laudable. And honestly, cruel.

That's why the ending was appreciated by me. "The entire audience was made to be the butt of a 9 year joke."

Watch it if you've never seen it. It's available on Netflix. Or just give it a Google. You'll see many articles talking about the same thing I stated previously.

Stellar.
Cruel.
Unbelievable.

All the things I desire my writing to be.

Look for me in the white pages.
-All my love.

Blanket scarves are everything.
